Journey of Kovet – Success pathway of Prarthana Kochhar

Behind Kovet.in story, there are two women in each and every part. The beautiful women who are passionately striving and setting up a new trend in fashion world, Geeta Kochhar and Prarthana Kochhar.

Both of them have gone through so many phases to build up a strong foundation of Kovet.in.

Both of them was born to a business family and has always been passionate about fashion designing. Prarthana Kochhar studied in JD Institute of fashion technology and National Institute of fashion technology at New Delhi passed out in 2000.

Prarthana started an own manufacturing unit with just 2 tailors. From there she started to supply her products to ebony, Marwari and also to other multi designer store.
She started to work on home accessories which were perfectly designed. And then her own home furnishing label Cushions. And later she also started to design shoes which were stunningly crafted.

By 2017, Prarthana decided to join her hands with Geeta Kochhar to start an online store with her own brand and thus Kovet was born. Their motto was to work on styles and the outfit should be value for the money. Till today their products have good responses in urban cities.

Kovet features cutting edge western wear, Indo western wear, Indian wear and other accessories that complement the dress.

Kovet first represented in New York Fashion week 2018, representing our nation in an international platform. Their spring summer 2018 was titled as Unabridged that portrayed women as a perfect blend of classiness. Their dresses defined woman’s body shape with personal colors.

They had huge number of good collections for resort wear, brunch wear and red-carpet wear. The dresses were intricated with elements like pearls, fuchsia flower which amazed the people.
Kovet later got opportunity to get showcased in Autumn Winter 2018 on Ebix Fashion week. Prarthana designed dresses which addressed woman’s feminine and curves to flaunt. The collection consisted of party wear and explained the power of dressing in dark color tones which was perfect for winter weather.

Prarthana from then got overwhelming response for all her products and celebrities started to label Kovet products has their favorites.

In 2019 Kovet showcased its Spring Summer collection in Bangalore. Their collection had a title Story of Eze with two other lines – Red Carpet and Power of Dressing. All her collections were inspired by Eze village in French Riviera. The bougainvillea on the walls in Eze create a color scheme of beige, fuchsia and green that finds an echo in her clothes. The base design was inspired by cobblestones.

Her fabrics for the summer collection included Chanderi cotton, cotton silk, crepe and georgette. Her Indo western dresses had delicate hand embroidery and she used French knots to bring in Bougainvillea flowers. Beads and cut-dana embroidery underline the richness of the work. The different cuts and silhouettes were best suitable for summer.

Kovet showcased their festive wear in textile Fair of India awards 2019.Among 120 designer brands in the fair, Kovet was one of the 12 finalists. Kovet showcased their collection under the name The Modern Empress.

The dresses showcased in this fair were made biodegradable fabric, depicting eco friendly fashion of today’s world. The Modern Empress resides within every girl who can adapt the change and bring change in the society. This girl creates her own norms and traditions and she is smart and updated. The Modern Empress girl is not afraid to experiment with her style and her style describes her personality.

And till today in 2020 even in covid 19 pandemic, they are delivering their products as per customer needs and ensuring safety practices. Their E commerce portal is such a super and a simple portal designed in such a way that it can be accessed very easily.
